Making it easier for designers to run their businesses.
Business strategy + creative operations for interior designers and creative founders who want more clarity, structure, and support behind the scenes.
Hi there — I’m Kat.
Founder of kat&co and your friendly expert in creative operations.
I've spent more than a decade behind the scenes of interior design and creative businesses, helping studios navigate the operational and human side of running a company.
Today, I work with interior designers to create more clarity around how they work, lead, and grow, while continuing to support a select number of creative founders across adjacent industries.
My approach is grounded, human-first, and built around a simple belief: your business should support the way you actually want to work.

The Clarity Collective
The Clarity Collective is a small-group cohort for interior designers who want a place to ask questions, compare notes, and have candid conversations about what it actually takes to run a design studio.
It started with Kat. Then came the “&co”.
kat&co began as my way of helping creative business owners build stronger businesses behind the scenes. Over time, that work became increasingly focused on the industry I've spent my career in: interior design.
And the more time I've spent working alongside designers, the more I've seen that support can take many different forms.
Today, the “&co” has grown into an ecosystem of businesses built to support the interior design industry, from the business itself, to the work happening behind the scenes, to the pieces being built for the finished space.

You are not alone in feeling that way.
Most clients begin with either Creative Business Coaching or the Design Business Intensive. Coaching is ideal when you need guidance, accountability, and a trusted thought partner. The Design Business Intensive is best for interior designers who want to improve systems, processes, and business operations through a focused strategy and implementation partnership. Check out the Creative Business Manager service if you’re looking for fractional operations leadership.

Interior designers are the heart of my work. With more than a decade of experience leading inside design firms, I understand the particular operational realities of running an interior design business, from client management and procurement to team growth, workflows, and everything happening behind the finished work.
I also work with a select number of creative founders in adjacent industries when my approach and expertise are a strong fit for what they need.

Creative operations is the behind the scenes structure of your studio. This includes your workflows, communication, systems, client processes, team coordination, and all the internal pieces that help your creative work run smoothly. My job is to bring clarity, simplicity, and support to these areas so your business feels lighter and easier to lead.

Not at all. Your business does not need to be “ready” for support. I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, and help you make sense of the parts that feel heavy or chaotic. Messiness is normal in creative studios, and fixing it is part of the work we do together.
