The Clarity Collective

Summer School

A 10-week collaborative cohort for interior designers who want more clarity, structure, and ease in their business.

The Clarity Collective | Summer School

Most interior designers only know the structure of their own business and maybe one or two firms they’ve worked at in the past.

Which means many studio owners are building their businesses in isolation, unsure if their pricing, workflows, onboarding processes, or systems are actually working as well as they could.

The Clarity Collective was created to open up those conversations!

This is not a course or a traditional mastermind. It’s a guided small-group experience where interior designers can share real business structures, learn from one another, and build systems that feel aligned with how they naturally work.

Together, we’ll explore the behind-the-scenes realities of running a design business in a way that feels collaborative, thoughtful, and supportive (not rigid or one-size-fits-all)!

What we’ll do

Each session is centered around a core area of your business, including:

  • Pricing structures

  • Client onboarding + proposals

  • Procurement and purchasing models

  • Project management workflows

  • Presentations + client communication

  • Time, capacity, and boundaries

  • Team structure and delegation

  • Project wrap-up and client offboarding

Rather than teaching one “right way,” we’ll look at real examples, discuss different approaches, and help you determine what works best for your business.

Why I created this

After a decade of working behind the scenes in interior design and creative businesses, one thing became very clear to me:

Most designers don’t know what they don’t know.

There are so many ways to structure a studio, manage projects, price services, communicate with clients, and build a team. But, unless you’ve worked inside multiple firms, you rarely get visibility into how other businesses actually operate.

The Clarity Collective is designed to create that visibility.

This is a space to ask questions, share experiences, workshop challenges, and leave with more clarity and confidence in how your own business runs.

Who this is for

Interior designers who:

  • feel like everything lives in their head

  • are craving more structure but don’t want rigid systems

  • want insight into how other studios operate

  • are preparing to grow or delegate

  • are ready to simplify and create clarity

What you’ll leave with

  • A clearer understanding of how your business currently operates

  • Visibility into how other designers are structuring theirs

  • Simplified systems that support your workflow

  • Increased confidence in your pricing, process, and communication

  • A business that feels more organized, manageable, and aligned

Group size is limited to 6–8 participants to keep the experience conversational, collaborative, and personalized.

"I have a sounding board with Kat, she is someone I can bounce ideas off to make sure I’m running in the right direction! Her knowledge + experience far exceeds anyone I’ve worked with and her services have been so beneficial as a new business owner. Having Kat on my team has deeply influenced my company’s success!"

FAQs

A few quick answers so you know what to expect before you sign up.

  • Neither, exactly.

The Clarity Collective is a collaborative small-group experience designed to help interior designers create more clarity in how their businesses operate through guided discussion, shared insight, and live implementation sessions.

Rather than teaching one rigid framework, we’ll explore real business structures, workflows, and processes together to help you determine what works best for your business.

  • This cohort is designed for interior designers who are actively running a business and are looking for more structure, organization, and clarity behind the scenes.

You do not need to have a large team or established studio to participate. The most important thing is that you are open to collaboration, discussion, and refining how your business operates.

  • You are absolutely welcome here.

In many ways, starting these conversations earlier can help you establish stronger systems and habits before things become overwhelming. You’ll also gain visibility into how more established designers are structuring their businesses.

  • Group Sessions will be recorded and shared with participants afterward.

Working Sessions will not be recorded, as they are intended to be more collaborative and interactive in nature.

  • Not in the traditional sense.

You may leave sessions with ideas, adjustments, or tasks you want to implement in your business, but the goal is not to create additional pressure or busywork. The Working Sessions are intentionally built into the structure to give you dedicated time and support to apply what you’re learning.

  • Very!

The value of this experience comes from open conversation, shared insight, and visibility into how different designers operate their businesses. Participation is encouraged, but there is never pressure to share beyond your comfort level.

  • This is primarily a group experience, but there will be opportunities for questions, discussion, and occasional hot seat coaching during sessions.

If additional one-on-one support is desired, participants are welcome to explore coaching or consulting services separately through kat&co.

  • Sessions will be hosted virtually via Google Meet.

Participants will receive calendar invites, session links, and onboarding details prior to the start of the cohort.

  • The cohort is intentionally limited to 6-8 participants to keep conversations thoughtful, collaborative, and personalized.

  • Due to the small-group nature of the cohort and limited participant spots, all registrations are non-refundable.

If you are unsure whether this is the right fit, feel free to reach out before registering. I’m always happy to answer questions.
